Specials

Tally has finally become a Special. She and Shay are in a clique of teen Specials called the "Cutters", who cut themselves so they have even better clarity than the bubblyness they had when they were Pretties. They were icy. They did missions that the boss herself ordered them to do. They were free. At least, that's what Tally thinks. She and the Cutters are hunting down the New Smoke, or the new resistance to the Specials. Tally's senses and hunting skills have definately improved but she feels as if she's different. Like there is something wrong with why she acts like this. Like a Special. She is caught between helping David out, or doing her job and being a good little Special. Soon ,though, the New Smoke invents a cure for even Specials. Once you have the cure you're still Specials but you still hesitate to make the final move, the kill. Tally is once again torn between going with her friends or guarding her city. But when the cities start fighting like the Rusties all over again...it's all up to her to clean the mess up. Read more.

Pretties

Don't read this unless you've read Uglies. Unless you want me to spoil it for you. So Shay and Tally met and Tally became Pretty. Now she is partying all night and getting drunk with the other Pretties. She soon gets a boyfriend named Zane who wants her to stay "bubbly" with him. See what happens when you get the surgery to be a Pretty they insert "lesions" into your brain that make you stupid and clueless to things. She knew all of this when she was ugly but now she doesn't remember. Zane helps Tally remember and her old ugly friends from the Smoke help her also leaving her the cure to cure herself. The thing is she doesn't to be alone so she and Zane share the 2 pills. They are both bubbly after they took the pills seeing every thing in more clarity than before. They do major pranks and stunts so they can turn their clique bubbly also. Pretty soon (haha) they realize that they need to get out of the city. So the Specials don't turn them into clueless zombies again. But will they escape? Or will the cure destroy their minds like David's mom had said it could? Read more.

Uglies

One of my favorite book series is the Uglies series by Scott Westerfield. It's kind've weird that a guy is writing about girls mostly in this series but just ignore that. This is a really good series that I would recommend to anybody. It's mostly a teenager book though, or you could say young adults. Either one. Recently ( or recent to me..) Extras, the fourth book of the series, came out in bookstores. The price that I bought it was $16.99 not including tax. So it's pretty cheap. So anyway Uglies is about a teenager called Tally Youngblood who dreams of becoming a Pretty. Pretty in her world is having tons of parties and having fun and looking goregeous. See when you turn 16 you have a surgery that turns you into practically a supermodel. They tell you more about it in the book. So all of her friends are older than her and are already Pretties, so she is feeling lonely. One day she meets a new friend, Shay, but she doesn't want to be a Pretty. She runs away to a refuge for people who don't want to be Pretty and disappers out of their city, which is a very bad thing. Tally must go and find her and bring her back or the surgeons won't turn her Pretty...Read more to find out about her ending.
